An excerpt from the one man show Any1man

You once dreamt as I still do. You once shared the limitlessness you believed in as you slept. But, at some point you grew tired. You became frustrated with the hopes you had for your dreams. You became, hopeless... despondent. You began to confuse the challenge your dreams set before you. You began to labor indefinitely and without purpose. You began to hope that your labor would produce love, or seduce a love into spending time with you in the hours after five and before nine.

Faint remembrances of your childhood dreams lingered in the words of your fathers as they sat you down and made you promise to find a job that you truly enjoyed, so that you would never have to work a day in your life. Yet and still, you did your best to fit your life and your love into the hours after five and before nine.
