“From the mouth of one man...
...Comes the soul of every man...
...Seen through the eyes of any man.”

We were riding down Atlanta’s Cascade Road on what had to be a Friday night. I know because I felt, at the time, like there were a thousand other things we could be doing. B said, “You know man, you really are a pretty decent actor. But you’re not the best.” Don’t spend your time looking for a segue. Usually when B makes a statement, there is no segue. “And you can half way sing, but you ain’t no singer.” I interjected, “I am keeping quiet in the hope that there is a redeeming ‘but’ coming soon.”

“But, you are an extraordinary conductor. I mean, I have never seen a person who is selflessly willing to engage an audience the way you do. When you have a story to tell, people listen; and they believe. You probably need to start working on your one man show.”

And so began the grueling introspection into the paradigm of manhood. Wrought with painful admissions, coupled by towering debt, yet rewarded by the artistic satisfaction only a vessel can feel. Out of this inwardness Any1Man was born.

My one man show? No, B this is our story to tell, I am just turning the pages.

-Any 1 Man.
